Malaysia Brand Day 2026 Launches National Movement

Malaysia is set to celebrate its first-ever Malaysia Brand Day 2026, a major national initiative endorsed by the Prime Minister’s Office to elevate local brands, strengthen the branding ecosystem, and boost the country’s economic growth. Announced on 2 December 2025, this milestone marks the beginning of a movement dedicated to empowering Malaysian businesses, especially SMEs to rise, compete, and thrive in the global marketplace.

A Three-Day Celebration of Malaysian Innovation

Happening from 8–10 January 2026 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), the inaugural Malaysia Brand Day will unite brands across 16 industries, offering a dynamic platform that includes curated showcases, leadership dialogues, industry panels, business matching sessions, and capability-building workshops.

More than 50 Malaysian brands have confirmed their participation, including ZUS Coffee as the Official Beverage Partner, alongside A Cut Above, Applecrumby, Eu Yan Sang, Bloomthis, Carlo Rino, Ogawa, Fire Fighter, and EE Clinic.

Organising Chairman Eden Yap emphasised that the initiative is not just an event it is a long-term national movement to support local brands and strengthen the economy. SMEs contribute nearly 40% to Malaysia’s GDP and make up 48% of the national workforce, underscoring the importance of platforms that support their growth and visibility.

Uniting Businesses, Government, and Consumers

President of the Branding Association of Malaysia, Datin Winnie Loo, shared that many Malaysian brands face similar challenges when it comes to scaling, navigating competition, and building consumer trust. Malaysia Brand Day aims to bridge these gaps by creating a unified ecosystem where businesses, policymakers, and consumers come together to champion Malaysian-owned excellence.

The initiative is backed by major ministries and agencies including MITI, KUSKOP, KPK, MATRADE, MyIPO, SME Corp, and TalentCorp, reinforcing its alignment with the Madani Economy Framework and its focus on driving inclusive economic value.

Celebrating Brands That Represent Malaysia’s Strength

While the core mission is to uplift SMEs, Malaysia Brand Day 2026 will also highlight Malaysian brands that have grown from humble beginnings into regional or global icons. Their journeys demonstrate Malaysia’s capability to innovate, scale, and succeed internationally serving as inspiration for the next generation of entrepreneurs and brand builders.
